Cannabis & Creativity

Discover Sylvia’s story and how cannabis helped her to enhance her creativity.

My name is Sylvia and I am from El Monte, California

How did you find your way to cannabis?

It started in college, mostly recreationally and I didn’t really do much research but after a few months of using it, I decided it actually helped me in my creative process like working in studio.

How cannabis help you being more creative?

It usually helps me calm down and I’m able to focus on one emotion that I want to show in my paintings, in my work. It’s all about expressionist paintings for me. If art is something you really enjoy, you feel a lot happier when you’re in the zone and when you’re stone at the same time.

How are you consuming cannabis?

Not before but eventually I started looking up news and articles like on Time and Livestrong. A lot of them promote cannabis because I feel like it’s such a healthier alternative to medication.

Is it easy to find cannabis information?

Yes, it is mostly easy, a lot of doctors currently do not know much about cannabis. Honestly, it is all up to the person to do their own research online.

What would you say to people who are skeptical about cannabis benefits?

If you’re skeptical about cannabis, I would just say, still give it a try. If you’re not the type of person who want to smoke and possibly ruining your lungs, I would definitely suggest the edible raw. I have asthma, so smoking is not with the way it goes for me. But, an important thing I remember is also dosage, if you are unsure of your tolerance level, you should start very little and make sure that you ask whoever you get buying your cannabis from that you know how much is in it.

I would suggest to just do more research about it. There’s not enough information out there. A lot of people are still working on getting that done.
